With the Seattle Seahawks entering  Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday February 1, 2015 as the favorites to repeat and win the Super Bowl facing the New England Patriots, but they failed to do so. With 20 seconds left in the 4th quarter and the score being 28 to 24 with the New England Patriots leading, Seattle QB Russell Wilson threw an interception on the goal line. There has been controversy about the crucial call that was made by Seattle's head coach Pete Carroll with the game on the line. It has been noted that Coach Carroll has taken full responsibility for the calling the play that sealed the game for the Patriots. With the Patriots win, a legacy was set for QB Tom Brady winning his 4th Super Bowl alongside Coach Bill Belichick where they have won all 4 together since 2001.
