Erykah Badu will be performing at Grambling State University in Grambling, LA during Homecoming weekend on Friday, October 23rd with GRAMfam FAN fare and Erykah Badu FAN fare.  When Erykah Badu Grambling performance date hit the social media waves, FANS begin securing their hotels, making travel arrangements, and calling friends to spread the word with joy and anticipation.

I knew Erica Wright at Grambling State University.  I had the honor to go to school with Erica/Erykah.  My fondest image of Erica/Erykah was not just her performing on stage, I remember this gorgeous ivory outfit she had on at Grambling State's football game.  I gave her a compliment and she received the compliment with humility and kindness.  We shared small talk before going in our separate directions to watch the the game.

Then, I was honored to cover Erykah Badu for Essence Festival and watch her amazing power as she entertained the Essence Festival FANS at the Mercedes Superdome in New Orleans,LA

When I met Erica Wright, I saw STAR POWER. Now, the world knows Erykah Badu as a STAR in her own right.
