AVERY JOHNSON spoke to students at Southern University before HIS DEDICATION OF AVERY JOHNSON BASKETBALL COURT that would take place during the GRAMBLING STATE UNIVERSITY vs SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY basketball game. (Did you get that????) AVERY JOHNSON took time to out of busy schedule to do speak to students during Super Bowl weekend.  Avery interviewed with ESPN television the day before his dedication.

AVERY JOHNSON told students that the key to success is PRACTICE.  Avery talked about his journey and how he did not always win. You must stay prepared, which will exude your confidence to win.  Avery Johnson talked his failures.  How he was fired from great coaching positions then he was blessed with great opportunities.  So, at this moment.  Even though he was fired from the Mavericks he is visualizing his next coaching position.  It wasn't all sports.  He talked to the MEN.  He encouraged MEN to treat the ladies with respect.  When you see a lady, open the door for them.  He also encouraged the WOMEN.  It is ok to accept a compliment.  It doesn't mean someone want something from you.  It means that they admire you.  He also talked about his beginning journey at Southern University and how he met his wife at Southern University.
