Doug Williams expressed how it wasn’t uncommon for Coach Rob to introduce himself to people he was that personable and that giving. Coach Rob not only coached football he coached the girls basketball team, boys basketball team, and track. Doug introduced the Banquet key note speaker Mike Tomlin, who is the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Coach Mike Tomlin shared how he wasn’t under the leadership of Coach Rob, but his mentor Tony Dungi was coached by Coach Robinson. So many athletes wanted to be trained by Coach Rob, which led to Coach Robinson having 400 players in the NFL. Even though Coach Mike Tomlin wasn’t directly coached by him, he is part of his legacy of hard work and excellence.
