Missing HEAVY D...MTV VMAs highlights from Kingi Knox interview on Jamie Foxx, Al B. Sure, and Speedy

Heavy D dies at 44...wow that was hard to type. Heavy D, the Overweight Lover, death took family, friends, and fans by storm on Monday, November 7th.

One of my favorite Michael Jackson collaborations is with Heavy D, with the song titled "JAM". It was ironic he died the same day of the verdict announced for Michael Jackson trial against Conrad Murray.

I had a chance to meet and interview Heavy D at the 2008 MTV VMAs for Speedy's Comedy Corner on Jamie Foxx FOXXHOLE broadcasted on Sirius XM. He was so down to earth and nice. When I met him, I was in awwww how much weight he loss and how good he looked. I said what's up "Sexy D-D-D-D" (in the Heavy D-D-D voice from the song "We Got Our Own Thang"). He laughed as he told me about his new CD that had a Jamaican groove to it called "VIBES". With excitement, I started moving my hips dancing. Heavy D stated "You got skills with your Jamaican moves". I smiled as I refocused back to the interview. He expressed his respect for Jamie Foxx. Plus, we talked about his experience working with Michael Jackson and Al B. Sure.

I was able to listen to the reggae CD titled "VIBES" and I loved it! Heavy D sings on the project as he takes us back to his Jamaican roots. "Long Distance Girlfriend" is my favorite song.

Fans are shocked by Heavy D sudden home going...we have Nuttin' But Love for our sexy Overweight Lover...HEAVY D!!!

I got a great ab workout during CHRIS TUCKER comedic show for the AIR FORCE RESERVE College Tour at Grambling State University. I laughed so hard for two hours...I know I got a six pack like Janet Jackson now!





LONDON BROWN opened for CHRIS TUCKER with great comedic delievery as he owned the Grambling State Unviersity stage.

CHRIS TUCKER comedic set at GRAMBLING STATE UNIVERSITY was hilarious! Chris Tucker comedic performance was classic! His performance was up their with Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, Martin Lawrence, and Red Foxx just to name a few.

The world needs to see this comedy show with London Brown and Chris Tucker. They both killed it without one curse word as I was asked by a fan from Los Angeles when I told them how good the show was at Grambling.

When he walked on the stage, you know how we how we do it...we were like..."Who is that?" At the end of his set...we were like LONDON BROWN your set was hot! Grambling fans asked LONDON BROWN for his autographed as he graciously signed autographs and took pictures.

So, in other words...WHEN LONDON BROWN, got on the stage at GRAMBLING STATE UNIVERSITY he ripped it...there was no question of who he was or if he was funny. He delievered like the U.S. Post Office. I had a chance to talk to LONDON BROWN and CHRIS TUCKER backstage. They both represent humility as they were grateful to be at Grambling. London expressed his gratitude towards Chris Tucker and the Air Force Reserve College Tour.

I did that. I dreamed...I loved...I prayed...I met some of the greatest people while I covered Essence Music Festival for the past 3 years for The Greatest Fan radio. Essence has made my dream come true by giving me the opportunity to interview HOT celebrites exclusively at my booth on radio row in the Louisiana Convention Center for Essence Music Festival.




Throughout my Essence journey, Essence employees were sincere about me and my progress with The Greatest Fan. This year I was able to meet Essence fans personally as they asked, "Can I take a picture with you?" "How can I do radio like you?" "Kingi, can I take a picture with Walter Johnson?". I was honored to be a part of Essence fans dreams and Essence Music Festival experience. My heart went out to Essence fans as they told me how they enjoyed the the seminars and the concerts despite the fact that they were struggling with illness, unemployment, divorce, etc. These are the stories I heard as I talked to Essence fans and how they left Essence Music Festival feeling happy and hopeful!

Immediately when I entered Harrah's New Orleans off of Poydras, I was greeted by Harrah's New Orleans staff when I walked into the hotel. I entered my hotel room that look like a mini apartment with a jacuzzi tub. After I returned from the Louisiana Convention Center putting up The GREATEST Fan banner, I enjoyed jumbo shrimp and hot buffalo wings with my team that was so good!

After our second day of interviews, I enjoyed great food at Harrah's New Orleans Casino seafood buffet: crawfish, shrimp, and sausage alfredo pasta, carrots, spinanch, boiled shrimp, sweet potatoes, salad, and fruit.

For breakfast, Dominique and Kendal treated me to VIP service as Oscar served me Mimosa with my biscuit, sausage, & gravy; egg whites; carrots; spinanch; and fruit that was so good!

Before I left the Harrah's New Orleans Casino hotel, I walked across the street to the casino to play Hangover. It was so much fun!

When I picked up my car from vallet service, I noticed they went above and beyond. My car wasn't hot, because they were thoughtful enough to close my sunroof. I didn't even tell them. They took the initiative to ensure my car stayed as cool as possible in the Louisiana heat.

I am so grateful to Harrah's New Orleans sponsorship which left me speachless.

All my interviews were presented to me through Julie and Renaldo of Essence magazine. Griff, who is the 1st comedian to signed to Music World Entertainment, was impressed with our interview and the fact that I stated how Mathew Knowles was my mentor. Griff said, "I am going to tell Mathew to come to The GREATEST Fan on radio row." Twenty minutes before he arrived, he sent a black folder with his press release about his company Music World Entertainment and his acts presence at Essence Music Festival.
