ESSENCE MUSIC FESTIVAL partnered with Kingi Knox and The GREATEST Fan radio to connect the coolest fans to the hottest celebrities at Essence Music Festival on radio row.


I am grateful for Essence magazine that inspired me to dream, to love, and to pray. Over 1o years ago, Susan Taylor told Essence readers to pick a place in your home to read the bible. Use this same place for your daily meditation. I have been doing everyday since I read the article in Essence magazine. As you wait for your LOVE, busy yourself with your job or start your own business.




I did that. I dreamed...I loved...I prayed...I met some of the greatest people while I covered Essence Music Festival for the past 3 years for The Greatest Fan radio. Essence has made my dream come true by giving me the opportunity to interview HOT celebrites exclusively at my booth on radio row in the Louisiana Convention Center for Essence Music Festival.




Throughout my Essence journey, Essence employees were sincere about me and my progress with The Greatest Fan. This year I was able to meet Essence fans personally as they asked, "Can I take a picture with you?" "How can I do radio like you?" "Kingi, can I take a picture with Walter Johnson?". I was honored to be a part of Essence fans dreams and Essence Music Festival experience. My heart went out to Essence fans as they told me how they enjoyed the the seminars and the concerts despite the fact that they were struggling with illness, unemployment, divorce, etc. These are the stories I heard as I talked to Essence fans and how they left Essence Music Festival feeling happy and hopeful!

For believing in my growing brand...for asking me how am I doing...for introducing me to Mathew Knowles...for introducing me to celebrities at Verizson and Ford stage...for encouraging me...for your gratitude!

BRIAN WHITE interview was great! I know Brian White from not only his great movies like Stomp the Yard and Tyler Perry's Daddy's Little Girls, I also know him from the celebrity basketball league in Los Angeles called the E-League. During our interview, Brian White was handsome and humble. He was excited to be at Essence Music Festival and give Essence fans free copies of his book.

I am also grateful to Brian White publicist Lee. He worked very hard to ensure that Brian White fans was informed with Brian White latest projects.

BODY by DENISE interview was great! Before Denise came to our booth, I heard her hosting Essence.com stage getting Essence ladies into shape. When I met the beautiful and fit Denise, she inspired me. The tip she gave Essence ladies to get in shape was not to eat processed foods. Body by Denise encourage everyone to eat FRESH food!

HARRAH's NEW ORLEANS CASINO sponsored Kingi Knox for The GREATEST Fan radio presence on radio row at Essence Music Festival in the Louisiana Convention Center.

Immediately when I entered Harrah's New Orleans off of Poydras, I was greeted by Harrah's New Orleans staff when I walked into the hotel. I entered my hotel room that look like a mini apartment with a jacuzzi tub. After I returned from the Louisiana Convention Center putting up The GREATEST Fan banner, I enjoyed jumbo shrimp and hot buffalo wings with my team that was so good!

After our second day of interviews, I enjoyed great food at Harrah's New Orleans Casino seafood buffet: crawfish, shrimp, and sausage alfredo pasta, carrots, spinanch, boiled shrimp, sweet potatoes, salad, and fruit.

For breakfast, Dominique and Kendal treated me to VIP service as Oscar served me Mimosa with my biscuit, sausage, & gravy; egg whites; carrots; spinanch; and fruit that was so good!

Before I left the Harrah's New Orleans Casino hotel, I walked across the street to the casino to play Hangover. It was so much fun!

When I picked up my car from vallet service, I noticed they went above and beyond. My car wasn't hot, because they were thoughtful enough to close my sunroof. I didn't even tell them. They took the initiative to ensure my car stayed as cool as possible in the Louisiana heat.

I am so grateful to Harrah's New Orleans sponsorship which left me speachless.

I love Harrah's New Orleans....Have a WINNING Day everyone!

CHRIS PAUL interview was cool! In the New Orleans heat, it was cool to meet someone who plays for my homestate team (New Orleans HORNETS) that was so down to earth. I interviewed Chris Paul at the VERIZON stage in the Louisiana Convention Center for Essence Music Festival. VERIZON workers were so excited about our interview and was excited to be in New Orleans with the Essence Music Festival fans. Chris Paul and I talked about what he loves about Louisiana and his comments about the NBA LOCKOUT.

MATHEW KNOWLES interview was "YOUR MAJESTY". The king is coming...the king is coming...I mean Mathew Knowles is coming... Mathew Knowles is coming to The GREATEST Fan booth on radio row at Essence Music Festival. We can take notes from Mr. Knowles. All my interviews were presented to me through Julie and Renaldo of Essence magazine. Griff, who is the 1st comedian to signed to Music World Entertainment, was impressed with our interview and the fact that I stated how Mathew Knowles was my mentor. Griff said, "I am going to tell Mathew to come to The GREATEST Fan on radio row." Twenty minutes before he arrived, he sent a black folder with his press release about his company Music World Entertainment and his acts presence at Essence Music Festival. Grif, Trin-i-tee, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Brian Courtney Wilson, and Micah Stampley did their thang at Essence!

Mathew Knowles is behind Beyonce, Destiny's Child, Kelly Rowland, Solange, and Michelle Williams...now I was honored to interview MATHEW KNOWLES who is part of MUSIC ROYALTY. Mathew Knowles told us about his MUSIC WORLD GOSPEL projects and his new television that will be international on MTV.
