Throughout the tour for On the Run… 

Rumors circulated.

Oh they are getting a divorce…Oh, I think Beyonce is pregnant…Oh, Beyonce is moving out….Oh Jay Z this…Jay Z that….Oh, Beyonce and Jay Z are not going to complete the tour.

Well, they did. Beyonce and Jay Z completed the On the Run tour with packed stadiums, fan YouTube uploads from fans, and with fan couples and fans selfies from the concert. 

At the end of the concert, Beyonce said to the audience as she looked at Jay Z with a tear in her eye, “WE DID IT”. Jay Z and Beyonce showed the world they are a great TEAM in artistry, entertainment, and family. After Beyonce performance of On The Run, Jay Z said “THIS IS REAL LIFE”. Meaning, Jay Z wants FANS to know how much he love his wife and family. Plus, how much Beyonce and Jay Z respect and appreciate their FANS.  Well, we are showing you THIS IS REAL LIFE. Believe what I am telling you not what someone says about us who don’t even know us.  The comment must have been an impromptu comment because Beyonce looked surprised as she laughed out loud.  It takes a strong man to watch his wife constantly being the target for HATERAID. Jay Z stood on stage with his wife and performed with her. Beyonce and Jay Z allowed FANS into their life as their shared intimate photos with Beyonce being pregnant in a beautiful photo with her husband and precious pictures with Blue Ivy.  I keep laughing with Jay Z doing pushups with Blue Ivy on top of his back.

I know my readers are not HATERS, but let me take a second and write to the haters.

GOD is LOVE.  We were created in LOVE that is why we call the deepest intimacy making love. When you plant love seeds, then you are able to enjoy the fruits of your labor.  When you walk and create in LOVE, you are able to hear God’s voice as he orders your steps. You, I, and everyone are destined for success.  When you sit and take someone apart by saying, “oh she not that pretty”, “he is not all that”, “they are not happy”. You are functioning in HATE and you miss out on your blessing. Plant your mind, heart, and soul with LOVE and you will have a GREAT love and you obtain prosperity also.

Now let’s get back to the Beyonce and Jay Z love tribute…

What I really like about Beyonce is that she is a TEAM player. Beyonce is GREAT as a solo artist!  I’ve noticed that she gets extra excited when she is performing with Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland, who are her dear friends from Destiny’s child and performing with her husband for the On The Run tour.

I remember when I met Michelle, Kelly, and Beyonce at the Stellar Awards. I was the official presenter for the Stellar Awards.  We were back stage watching Michelle perform her first solo performance to anticipated fans.  Beyonce was back stage jumping up and down cheering for Michelle. I told Beyonce, girl you better be careful I don’t want you to jump out you shoes and hurt yourself. She replied, thank you girl.

While at the Essence Festival, Beyonce snuck backstage to support her sister, Solange Knowles. Beyonce was backstage supporting her sister. Beyonce was there to be a FAN of support for their sister. There were not TV cameras or photographers to document this moment, because it was not her. 

When Beyonce said WE DID IT, it wasn’t about  - you did it, I did it, Beyonce did it, Jay Z did it. WE BOTH DID IT. Beyonce let the world know how much she admires Jay Z. As it looked like she wanted to cry again, it is a powerful moment when you have a mate that loves you and respects you.

Jay Z is a team player.  He encourages other musicians by giving them opportunities to produce his music or participate with his tour.  I was honored to participate in a Hidden Beach Recordings promotion CD for Jay Z's drummer Tony Royster titled "Give the Drummer some". Tony had nothing but GREAT things to say about Jay Z as he gave him opportunity.

For those that are blessed with great TEAM mate, celebrate your love and celebrate your accomplishments. Celebrate your new house, your vacation, your new increase for your family, etc.  That is a REAL LOVE SEED that has dual power.

 

For those that have not found your great TEAM mate have patience and know that GREAT things are on the horizon for those that plant love seeds.

Don’t hate the player, PARTICIPATE.

Doug Williiams honored for his SPORTS contributions during Black History Month on ESPN

Doug Williams is a GREAT man, coach, husband, father, cousin, athlete, and my friend.

ESPN honors Doug Williams during black history month with a GREAT commercial that inspires, salutes, and celebrate the DREAM.

The legendary Doug Williams appeared on the ESPN special; Trailblazers “Past, Present, Future”.   Doug Williams is a former NFL quarterback of the Washington Redskins and the Super Bowl XXII MVP. He was the first African American starting quarterback to capture a Super Bowl championship, which was a huge milestone for him, especially during that era because there weren’t many African American, quarterbacks in the NFL. Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones also appeared on the short special alongside Doug Williams, who recently was the first quarterback to win the college playoff championship as they defeated the favorite Oregon Ducks on January 12, 2015. That moment was monumental for the two of them because they weren’t only the first to have achieved such success, but were also the first African Americans to not only participate and capture a victory in such distinctive games. Doug Williams and Cardale Jones pay homage for African American quarterbacks that beat the odds and reached achievements that will forever be recognized in Black History.

John Stephens and Lonnie Lynn who? AKA John Legend and Common won Oscars for their theme song, “Glory” from Selma – Remembering Martin Luther King, Jr.

Were echoed from many fans as they watched the Oscars from across the country.

The 87^th Oscar Academy Award on February 22, 2015 was watched and adored my millions.

Emotions and tears were on the faces from the attendees as they watched Oscar Academy Award winners perform Common and John Legend perform “Glory”, which is Selma’s theme song at the Oscars.

 

Selma is a movie that highlighted the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. Oprah Winfrey did a GREAT performance in Selma.

Martin Luther King, Jr. legacy was “I have a DREAM”.  I met John Legend and his manager at the beginning of his dream.  They were so down to earth I ran out to buy his CD. Change with Snoop Dog was one my favorite songs off of his 1^st album. Then John Legend and his manager, Troy Carter,  supported my dream. Manager was excited to be apart of my project that was in development with MTV. It is always a beautiful journey when you can support someone else DREAM, while striving for your DREAM and living your DREAM.

It is a beautiful thing when Martin Luther King, Jr. can inspire a dream…your dream.  A dream grows when you support someone else dream.

 

I met Munir Bashir Mahmud at Will Smith music studio.  While I was chilling at the studio, he asked me about my dream.  With enthusiasm, Munir said I want to help. I had a project in development with MTV. He referred me to Fergie, Neyo, and John Legend just to name a few. Plus, he set up an meeting for me with Interscope records to have access to their celebrities for my MTV celebrity project.
 John Legend and Common did an amazing job capturing the struggle and triumph of Martin Luther’s King, Jr. journey. Not just Black history, they gave us American history.

Congratulations to John Legend and Common with their Oscars for best original song at the 2015 85^th Oscar Academy Award Show!!!!

Meagan Good and Devon Franklin - Black History LOVE tribute Part 3: SUPPORT

Oh, NOOOOOOOO!!!!

(As I put both of my hands to my face like Maucaulay Culkin in Home Alone)

I just heard something very bad.

Some lovers think that foreplay starts in the bedroom. 

You Big Dummy (In my Fred Sanford’s voice). You are a real big dummy. DUMMY!

Love is an expression, a gift, and a blessing. Because, Lord knows it is hard to find the right one. When you do find the right one, then you have to keep that love fulfilled.

Eddie Murphy asked the ladies in RAW, “do you want to know why men cheat?” All  the ladies in the audience screamed, “WHY!!!!” Chris Rock said in Bigger and Blacker you got to take that love and flip it and make it new.

How do you do that?

You do that with SUPPORT.

There is  nothing sexier than knowing that someone you love has your back.  That your mate supports you with your dreams, your flaws, and your life journey.  When you know someone expresses their love by supporting you, it makes you want to hold them a little longer, caress them differently, and breakout a new move. Martin said it best in You So Crazy, “fellas before your lady leave for work. Tell her you love her.  All day she will be thinking, MY MAN LOVES ME”.

Selfishness should be a crime.  I think I should advocate to make SELFISHNESS against the law with a new bill. I hear so many powerful men, millionaires, white collar men, blue collar men, politicians, educators, etc. feel that the power of love is all in their body part. Lol!

Ok, it is part of the equation.  If there is no chemistry, where is the love? If you are selfish in your love making, where is the love?  Your money can’t touch your mate, your power can’t kiss your mate, and it is not what you have…it is how you work with what you have in addition to love, caring, and support.

Now, let’s MAKE LOVE.

I interviewed MEAGAN GOOD and DEVON FRANKLIN. Meagan a fellow entertainer gave me props after our interview.  Meagan said, “The GREATEST Fan…I like it.” Then she turned to Devon,  “baby that was fun…I like The GREATEST Fan”. In that moment, she empowered me to interview her husband. Meagan and I interview was funny as we talked about her great movie roles and her recent movie project titled, “Think Like A Man”.  Then, I interviewed Devon. We talked about what a MAN really wants when choosing a wife.  Meagan and I started laughing because we both  said on cue, "yes we are thinking like a MAN" during his interview. During the interview, others could see their support for each other and their love was evident to everyone.

Now, let me give you a visual. Meagan was to my left and Devon was to my right as I was facing them both. Body Language says a lot. During the entire interview, Devon was holding Meagan. Devon had his right hand wrapped around Meagan’s waist.

GIRL POWER. I was silently screaming for Meagan’s love and happiness, because I saw she had a good man and she was happy. 

After our interviews, Meagan and I had girl talk while Devon continued to hold her. I told Meagan she did GREAT in Arica’s video for the song titled, “Valley Girl”.  Arica is my former neighbor who is a TV personality known as Hazel E from Love and Hip Hop HOLLWOOD. I told Meagan I love the fact how she is always helping people from Hazel E, to the girl group that performed at BET’s Blaze the Stage, and her sister’s career.  During our conversation, Meagan turned to Devon and said, baby you remember Arica you met her when we were together.

STOP. 

Did you get that?

She could have continued our conversation. She didn’t want to exclude her husband. She wanted him to be involved in the conversation.  I saw the support they had for each other.

I told Meagan that she is beautiful. He loves you and he cares for you. Don’t let nothing come between your love.

Devon supports Meagan that is why they have phenomenal success and their love shines for all to see.  Devon is an executive at Sony. And Meagan Good is an actress that has entertained many for over 20 years.  They help each other by working with each other on some projects because…MEAGAN GOOD was a brand before Devon. And DEVON FRANKLIN was a respected movie executive before Meagan.

I never shared this story. I will share the story now because it is a testimony when you have support you can fly high above the skies.  I had a project in development with MTV. I was talking on the phone to Meagan’s mom, Tyra Doyle, who is her business manager about a project for Meagan’s sister, La’Myia Good.

Ms. Good had to take another call while I waited on hold for her. I heard her conversation. Meagan's mom, who is a strong business women, was talking on the phone fighting for a better rate for her daughter. I was humbled. Meagan Good is a beautiful woman and a talented actress...there is nothing to debate when it comes to payment. 

When Ms. Good returned to the phone, I told her I will update her with MTV television project as our call ended.  I prayed for Meagan as I too prayed for myself. In this world, you need someone who will be a LION IN YOUR DEFENSE. 

The rest is history, Meagan Good has a MAN that loves her, SUPPORTS her, and treasures her. That is what makes beautiful love making when you know someone has your back. You desire to explore love in and out the bedroom because your mate holds you down in and out of the bedroom. 

Now, we can all cume together.

Rhianna and Chris Brown Black History LOVE tribute - Part 2: FRIENDSHIP - HAPPY VALENTINE's DAY!!! =)

Love is like gumbo, oooh with the right spices of PASSION, seafood of TEAM, and rice with SUPPORT to hold it together and…what is gumbo without SAUSAGE…what is LOVE WITHOUT FRIENDSHIP.

I remember I was on the lot at Sony. It was a beautiful sunny day.  I was enjoying the scene. I guess I was people watching. Then, I noticed a couple on the golf cart.  I noticed them talking and giggling. I was like ahhh that is cute.  Then, the golf card approached me then I saw it was Rhianna and Chris Brown.  Rhianna was very beautiful with no make up and Chris Brown was laid back with jeans and a T-shirt. I was immediately smitten because I didn’t see Rhianna and Chris Brown. I saw Robyn and Christopher. I saw their friendship. I saw their love shine for all to see like a beautiful SUN…not a STAR as their know the world, but a SUN that is beautiful with light and generates heat.

I continue walking on the Sony lot.  Then, I was on the set of the movie for Bone Collectors, which was released as TAKERS also starring Michael Ealy. I saw Rhianna on the set supporting Chris. When I talked to Rhianna she was down to earth.

I told them they were a beautiful couple and that I love their genuine friendship. She replied, “Thank you so much!” And we began girl talk to pass time.

 

Then, I was able to meet Chris Brown on the Red Carpet at the MTV VMAs.  I interviewed Chris Brown for Speedy’s Comedy Corner on FOXXHOLE.

 

Chris Brown was also very down to earth and so excited to do the interview. He wanted his fans to know what was going on with him.  Chris Brown was happy to tell his fans about the song he wrote for Rhianna titled, “Disturbia”.

 

You could hear the proudness in his voice and the admiration and respect he had for her.

He was so excited to share his talent to his friend and lady as a musical gift that would last forever.

 

I smiled with proudness because, I remembered the conversation Rhianna and I shared prior to that interview.

Fast forward some time later, I was at the Tom Joyner fund raiser which was in the same building as the Clive Davis Grammy Awards party at the Beverly Hills hotel. I saw many celebrities as I was outside talking such as Lil John, Mariah Carey& Nick Cannon, and Rhianna & Chris to name a few.

Then it happened…the night of their STORM. I thought of the true love and friendship. Their friendship would be their umbrella that would get through the storm.

I wanted to speak out so badly, but I was told not to get involved as I was new to my media job. So, I respected my friends and counsel.

 

I was still burning inside to speak out so I did what came natural… I prayed. I knew that their true friendship would resurface again. And with the strength of their bond and love their relationship would be reunited.

And it did.

They got back together, and now they are apart.

I know tomorrow will bring them back together because of what they have is rare and beautiful…TRUE FRIENDSHIP.

The Lifetime movie Whitney gave us a GREAT look at Whitney's dream and career.  I was more in awe for Whitney's love and passion for Bobby. Ya Ya DaCosta portraying Whitney and Arlen Escarpenta as Bobby Brown did a great job emulating the Whitney & Bobby love, passion, and friendship.

Intimacy was created to share a bond and procreate. Well, their bond has been evident that was proved to be timeless and everlasting. The movie showed the heat that Bobby Brown brought to Whitney Houston as he held her body to express his love to her.  Through their bond, they were able to weather through the storms of life with love and friendship. 

Whitney loved her husband as a man who was humble and kind. Whitney admired and respected Bobby for his musical talents and as a business man.

Passion is the unique heat that ignites perfectly when you have your soul mate. That chemistry is electrifying when making love. We are able to witness Whitney and Bobby's chemistry that keeps us intrigued.

My memorable moment of Whitney and Bobby is when Bobby was released from jail. Whitney ran to him and jumped into his arms, and he held her tight as they spun around. (My thought was it is the middle of the night. Whitney could have sent a town car to pick Bobby up to avoid the press; Whitney did not care. At a low point for Bobby, Whitney was there to greet him with a passionate hug and kiss. You see true PASSION is burning love that remained through the peaks and valleys of life.

Bobby talks about Whitney with a genuine heart, he speaks about her with humility, admiration, and kindness. It was a pleasure to meet Bobby Brown at Essence Festival backstage after his New Edition Main Stage at the Mercedes Superdome. I witnessed his humble heart during our conversation after the concert and was entertained by his great talents at Essence Festival.  New Edition made jokes as they toyed with the crowd,  “Where is Bobby?” “You know we had to kick him out of the group.”.  Everyone laughed. I was like it is cool how Bobby is able to laugh at himself. New Edition gave a GREAT show.

As the world prays for Bobby Kristina's recovery, Bobby demonstrates a humble heart as a loving father. Whitney and Bobby love created a beautiful daughter, Bobbi Kristina.  Their PASSION is a flame that never died.

Fans still buzzing about Super Bowl XLIX...Congratulations to the New England PATRIOTS defeating the Seahawks 28 to 24!!!

With the Seattle Seahawks entering  Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday February 1, 2015 as the favorites to repeat and win the Super Bowl facing the New England Patriots, but they failed to do so. With 20 seconds left in the 4^th quarter and the score being 28 to 24 with the New England Patriots leading, Seattle QB Russell Wilson threw an interception on the goal line. There has been controversy about the crucial call that was made by Seattle's head coach Pete Carroll with the game on the line. It has been noted that Coach Carroll has taken full responsibility for the calling the play that sealed the game for the Patriots. With the Patriots win, a legacy was set for QB Tom Brady winning his 4th Super Bowl alongside Coach Bill Belichick where they have won all 4 together since 2001.
