In the picture above...I interviewed Lady Jade for K104 pays your bills radio and classic game day promo with Deedyat the Southwest Airlines State Fair Classic.  K104 paid bills for Grambling State University fans and Praire View A&M University fans...it was GREAT!!!

I also interviewed Sean Andre and KJ from Smooth R&B for the Pick-A-Purse radio and classic game promo.  The Pick-A-Purse campaign was HUGE with PV and GSU fans!

The high school students competed in the boys & girls MARINES chin up challenge.  Alexis and Austin were the winners.  There were greaaat!!!  I only lasted 10 seconds on the chin up bar.

FANS got to see their name in bright lights with the FARMER's INSURANCE "SHOUT OUT" challenge with their holla and a message.

The fan favorite was BAILEY's FURNITURE KISS KAM as a couple of over 20 years won a Entertainment Media center from Bailey's.

A month after Sparkle's movie opening, WHITNEY HOUSTON fans are still SPARKLED!!! Enjoy our blog interview with Whitney's cousin DeAnna Warrick covered by Kingi Knox

I am privileged and honored to interview WHITNEY HOUSTON cousin and my friend, about attending the premiere at Sparkle.

I will lead in a Question & Answer with DEANNA WARRICK, who is Whitney Houston's cousin.

QUESTION. 

This has been an a devasting year...losing your cousin in February 

and your son in August the month of your cousins premiere.   

How are you doing?  

ANSWER. 

I'm as well as anybody who has lost a child can be. Some days 

are harder than others, but as time goes by I'm sure it will get 

better.

QUESTION.

Your son of 24 years old died so young after being in a coma for 

over 2 month.  What was the cause? 

ANSWER.  

We still don't have the answer to that question, we may never 

know.

QUESTION. 

To go to Sparkle premiere weeks after losing your son, what 

inspired you to watch the movie.  

ANSWER.

It's family and we support family no matter what. it was actually 

comforting being among friends and family. When I'm alone I'm 

left with my thoughts so it was a great night to get out I really 

needed it.

QUESTION. 

How did it feel to see Whitney on screen? 

ANSWER.  

It felt really good seeing her again she was a great actress.

QUESTION. 

What was your favorite scene in Sparkle? 

ANSWER.  

My favorite scene was when Sister invited Satin over for dinner. 

I loved Whitney in that scene, and the way she looked at Satin was 

so funny lol. She looked like she could see right through him. I could 

see her mother (Cissy Houston, and Aunt Lee Warrick) all in her face. 

LOL. If they thought you were up to no good, believe me you would know it.    

QUESTION.

What celebrities did you see at Sparkle that genuinely supported Whitney 

as well as the movie? 

ANSWER. 

Oh honey! Black Hollywood was in the house. From Cicely Tyson 

( who never ages she looked great) to Flex Alexander and Shanice Wilson, 

Niecy Nash to many to name. I was so happy to see so many come out 

and support.

QUESTION. 

How is the family doing? 

ANSWER. 

We are taking it day by day. We have our good days and bad days. All we 

can do is keep going. We have our family that's still here with us to take 

care of.  Yes, we are going to miss them everyday we will never forget them.

QUESTION. 

I had the privilege to meet Dionne Warrick, when you invited me over to her house 

for Thanksgiving.  How is she doing? 

ANSWER.  

Shes doing great, she is entering into her 50th year in the business.

Earlier this year she was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. She has a 

celebratory 50th anniversary album coming out Oct 22, 2012 look out for that. 

Shes also, starting a world tour so she doing great. 

QUESTION. 

So many talented family members in the Warrick and Houston family, will the FANS 

be blessed with a Whitney Houston tribute from the family? 

ANSWER.  

I haven't heard anything.

QUESTION. 

What would you want WHITNEY HOUSTON fans to know about your cousin in your 

own words? 

ANSWER. 

She was a kind and generous person. She was a family oriented person, and 

she was always laughing and smiling. Her legacy and great personality will surely 

live on.

speech was at the 2012 DNC was GREAT...you know that!  I love the opening...President Barack Obama shaking the hands of the workers as he walks on the stage to speak to Americans.  I love watching the smiles on the faces of so many colors of admiration and respect (priceless).  The FANS at the DNC represented a voice as they clapped with loud applauds and chanted "4 MORE YEARS!!!!".  I love his speech that we need to work together to move FORWARD.  So, Americans when you go to VOTE...you have a CHOICE...A CHOICE TO CREATE MORE JOBS IN AMERICA...A CHOICE FOR A BETTER FUTURE.  Choose the RIGHT CHOICE for a better YOU...vote BARACK OBAMA!!!

First Lady MICHELLE OBAMA
looks beautiful at the DNC...I love her hair and I love her heart.!  Her speech is empowering and beautiful as she states WE ALL WORK TOGETHER TO BUILD OUR COUNTRY AND MAKE OUR VOTE COUNT for a better future.

Vice President JOE BIDEN
gave a GREAT speech at the DNC that Americans need a FAIR shot for a better life.  I love his compassion fo SAVING the automobile industry, which will SAVE jobs and SAVE our economy.  Jill Biden gave a GREAT speech and she looked GREAT also.  Vice President Biden support for President Barack rocks as he expressed to the world about our President's courage to protect us!

President BILL CLINTON
speech was GREAT...he looked GREAT...his support for education is GREAT!  "Shared opportunities...shared responsibilities...shared prosperity", words to live by from President Clinton.  I love our country!  The red, white, and blue make up so many BEAUTIFUL colors...I see myself in all of YOU!  President Clinton gave a GREAT heartfelt speech with genuine love and support...I could feel it!  President Clinton also challenged Americans to do your arithmetic when making your decision who you want to be your president.  Do the math with productivity with the Democrats...then you do the math with productivity with the Republicans.  Chelsea Clinton is so beautiful...she exudes beauty, strength, and humility.  God Bless America!

JENIFER LEWIS is getting GREAT FAN buzz with her 1 woman shows on Broadway! Read below from Jenifer to her fans covered by Kingi Knox

JENIFER LEWIS who is beautiful, talented, personable, fashionable, down-to-earth...I met Jenifer Lewis at the premiere of BET's The GAME. I gave no introductions (because it wasn't important). I said, "Jenifer what's up? When are we going to see you have your own show? I have been waiting for you to have your own show!  She replied, "Girl, I am working on it.  I gave her my card and walked away."

Everything I have seen Jenifer in has had me in pain from gut buster laughter. I am laughing now reminiscing on her scenes in Tyler Perry's Madea's Family Reunion, Juwanna Man, Poetic Justice, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, What's Love Got to Do With It, A Different World, The Brothers, just to name a few. She is always leaving me wanting more.  I guess when I saw her I took my personal frustration out on her.  

Well, I am happy to share to Jenifer (one N) Lewis fans that I received the most beautiful surprise in me email inbox.

From Don't Tell Mama in 1982 to Club 54Below in 2012, I want to thank all of you for your support over the years leading up to the success with the shows recently in NYC and LA.

This show was the culmination of years of blood, sweat, tears and black not crackin'.  I came away from the weekend with just one word on my lips - TRIUMPHANT! Of course, with great humility.
