Congratulations to Taraji P. Henson, Jonalle Monae, and Octavia Spencer for Hidden Figures Best Picture Oscar nomination. Taraji, Jonalle, and Octavia did an excellent characterization of Katherine, Mary, and Dorothy, who made a difference in America with intelligence, honor, and courage. What did you think of the movie Hidden Figures?

I throughly enjoyed the movie "Hidden Figures."

How do you feel about Hidden Figures nomination?

Answer

I was also delighted to hear about the Oscar nomination and generally how well the movie was received.  It is my hope that more of these types of stories will continue to be told.

How did you get an opportunity to get a job at NASA as a Grambling State University graduate?

Answer

Majoring in Physics at Grambling State University, it has always been my desire to be part of an organization like NASA.

What is your most memorable moment at NASA?

Answer

My greatest NASA experience, to date has been to work on the next great space observatory, the James Webb Space Telescope.  It will allow humans to peer deeper into the origins of the universe than ever before.

My niece Katlyn wants to be an engineer. What advice would you have for future engineers?

Answer

For future scientist, mathematicians and engineers I would encourage them to challenge themselves.  By this I mean to find educational opportunities and careers that inspire them to learn throughout their careers.
