DAVID AUBREY is a GRAMBLING STAR with a heart and a smile that lights up a room. Not being cliché just keeping it real. David is my friend who cares about people through his actions and encouraging words. He works diligently as the Foundation Chairperson.
During Mr. Aubrey Grambling days, he walked the campus as a politician when he served as the SGA President. Later in years, he went on to be the Mayor of Homer. We are The GREATEST Fan of GRAMBLING Stars! Congratulations David Aubrey on your GREAT success!😊🎉🐯

"First, I am a native of Grambling, LA. I am the great grandson of Isaac White, the 1st Black Student to attend a school for Emmancipated slaves in 1864. A 100 years later, in 1964 I signed an scholarship to play Baseball with the legendary Eddie G. Robinson, who was the Athletic Director at Grambling College. It was a honor to play for President and Coach R.W.E. Jones. I was fortunate to Coach with Wilbert Ellis and won 3 Conference championship titles in 1983, 1984, and 1985. Now, I am serving as the Treasurer for Grambling University National Alumni Association. I am excited about the today's leadership at Grambling State University. I am The Greatest Fan of Grambling State University because of the experience it has given me in life and the people who have impacted my journey." Ben Williams
FAN FRIDAY - SANTORIA BLACK is a GRAMBLING STAR. Santoria is a selfless star like Jamie Foxx. He is a STAR that shines bright, while sharing his STAR POWER with other talented stars. Santoria Black has been producing ESPN's Grambling Sports Radio for over 10 years. The GREATEST Fan Celebrity segment kicked off on ESPN's Grambling Sports Radio and ESPN's Jaguar Journal. Santoria mentored me as well as teaching students in the Mass Communication Department at Grambling State University. He encourages while giving the fundamentals to Media broadcasting. I am the “Greatest Fan of Grambling State University” because I was “raised the Grambling way” since birth. You see, Grambling was attended by ancestors on both my Mother’s side and my Father’s side. My mother’s uncle (Raymond L Henry) was one of the founders of the Gamma Gamma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.. Then on my father’s side of the family, there were so many who went to Grambling that in 2014, my cousin (Hattie Wayne) decided to go for setting a Guinness Book of World Records. WE DID IT!!!! We set a Guinness Book record for having the most people from the same family attend and graduate from the same University!!!!! Our individual names are in the Guinness Book!!! I’m in the book, baby!
Yes, I was raised the “Grambling way”! As little children, we weren’t asked if we were going to college. We were asked what day we were going to “report in” to Grambling and get our room key! I can recall days when I’d ride with my mom to bring my uncles back to campus on Sunday evening, after being home for the weekend. The water fountain in the square was so beautiful! I used to look at it and think “I can’t wait til I’m here in school”!!!!
I am proud to say that both of my children went to Grambling! My 8-year-old grandson and my 6-year-old granddaughter will go there too! I will continue to serve my beloved alma mater, as I do now, holding offices at both the local chapter and National level. I will “fight for dear old Grambling” with everything in me, til my dying day. When the good Lord calls me home, I will love to hear Him say “Come on up here, TigerDiva! Welcome home, thou good and faithful servant”!!!
