All Star Weekend is a hit with R. Kelly concert covered by Kingi Knox

R. Kelly has been doing his thang with his concert touring across the country from NBA ALL STAR weekend to YOUR TOWN.

R.Kelly wowed fans with "Ignition", "I Believe I can Fly", and "Step in the Name of the Love".

R. Kelly not only sang to his FANS. He connected to his fans as he talked to his fans.  R. Kelly asked one of his FANS, "what is your R. Kelly fantasy?".  R. Kelly leaned into the stage from the stage as she told R.Kelly her fantasy in his ear. Silence. Waiting.  All in attendance were inquisitive of what she had to say.  Well, he did not tell us.  He responded, "That is too much for me to repeat". Well, let's just say another FAN upstaged the previous FAN with giving R. Kelly a pair of her red thongs.

R. Kelly concert is definitely a must see.  I was personally impressed that he gave a FANtastic concert with just him on the stage.  Meaning, band and background stage did not take center stage. Plus, he had did not have any dancers.

Beyonce GREAT performance at Super Bowl XLVII covered by Kingi Knox

FANtastic job by BEYONCE for Super Bowl XLVII halftime show!!!

Beyonce humble opening touched me as she included the Superdome in her greeting.  In doing that, she introduced new FANS to the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans.  The SuperDome represents history from the Saints victory to the victims of Hurricane Katrina triumph.

Beyonce did her thing as she sang her classics with "Baby Boy" and rocked the house with "Crazy In Love".

Beyonce surprised fans with her appearance with Destiny's Child.  Super Bowl fans loved her Pepsi Halftime show.  It was show for the FANS to the people.

Beyonce closing statement was beautiful, "GOD BLESS YOU...and thank you for this moment".

AVERY JOHNSON spoke to students at Southern University before HIS DEDICATION OF AVERY JOHNSON BASKETBALL COURT that would take place during the GRAMBLING STATE UNIVERSITY vs SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY basketball game. (Did you get that????) AVERY JOHNSON took time to out of busy schedule to do speak to students during Super Bowl weekend.  Avery interviewed with ESPN television the day before his dedication.

AVERY JOHNSON told students that the key to success is PRACTICE.  Avery talked about his journey and how he did not always win. You must stay prepared, which will exude your confidence to win.  Avery Johnson talked his failures.  How he was fired from great coaching positions then he was blessed with great opportunities.  So, at this moment.  Even though he was fired from the Mavericks he is visualizing his next coaching position.  It wasn't all sports.  He talked to the MEN.  He encouraged MEN to treat the ladies with respect.  When you see a lady, open the door for them.  He also encouraged the WOMEN.  It is ok to accept a compliment.  It doesn't mean someone want something from you.  It means that they admire you.  He also talked about his beginning journey at Southern University and how he met his wife at Southern University.

KINGI KNOX had a blast conducting the FAN segment commentary for ESPN's NFL 32, which was in New Orleans’ Jackson Square.  The segment was a lead in of fan reactions for ESPN’s NFL 32 sports television show.  Kingi asked fans how the Jets should handle their quarterback situation.

Kingi was able to talk to Phyllis and Greg who are Ravens fans.  Greg expressed, “I know I am old.  I am enjoying the fun at ESPN like a little a kid.  I am enjoying the free gifts and meeting my favorite sports stars.”

ESPN SportsNation for ESPN Super Bowl Week Experience in New Orleans

FANS had fun at ESPN SportsNation LIVE broadcast from New Orleans for the Super Bowl.
CHARISSA THOMPSON, MARCELLUS WILEY, and Coach HERMAN EDWARDS were very engaging with the audience.  During rehearsal, Charissa Thompson was very compassionate when she asked FANS to be patient as they worked out the details for the show.  She didn’t have to do that.  Charissa’s gracious heart was complemented by her beauty as she rocked her 3 inch stilettos.  Fans got a kick out of ESPN’s SportsNation original game titled “Shave Racing” that was played by their guest who hasn’t shaved his beard in 8 months and Marcellus.  CHRIS CARTER rocked his cool blue shades with GQ style and plenty of FAN admiration.  Coach Herman Edwards hyped the crowd with the “Who Dat” cheer from the dominated SAINTS fans who were in attendance.

FANS received great exclusive gifts from ESPN SportsNation consisting of shades, towels, Mardi Gras colored ESPN T-shirt, and red & white jester hats.  FANS enjoyed ESPN’s SportsNation with FANtastic music throughout the live show from the Stooges Brass Band under the band direction of Walter “Whoadie” Ramsey.  The Stooges Brass band performed live all week for SportsNation New Orleans.

Also on Tuesday, FANS enjoyed talking to Jerry Rice as he was escorted by F.E.S.S. security to ESPN’s television show. JERRY RICE was very handsome with down to earth personality.  He was also making playful faces to Dariel, who is a F.E.S.S. security guard.  Jerry Rice kept crew, media, and FANS laughing as he genuinely showcased his great sense of humor.

Wow…Mike and Mike had a genuine rapport with their fans.  After the “Mike and Mike In the Morning” sports talk radio show, MIKE GREENBERG came out to sign autographs and take pictures with their fans.  Mike Greenberg went up and down the row signing autographs. Then Mike asked, “Did I get everyone?  Did everyone get an autograph?”  Sheila who is a 49ers fan from Biloxi was nervous about asking Mike Greenberg for an autograph.  I motioned to Mike that she wanted an autograph.  Mike Greenberg not only gave her an autograph he also took a picture with the fan.

Then MIKE GOLIC walked towards the fans (did you get that…Mike Golic walked to the fans) to sign autographs. He talked to several Saints fans and told them how much he love New Orleans. Mike Golic stated to a Saints Fan couple, “I can live off of beignets and king cake!”

Fans were talking among themselves of how much fun they had as the Mike and Mike crew gave a FREE ESPN t-shirt.  They also cooed how much they enjoyed Mike and Mike’s interview with Drew Brees.

FANS enjoyed the FREE ESPN experience as they enjoyed attending ESPN television and radio for free, along with receiving great ESPN commemorative memorabilia in Mardi Gras colors of purple, green and gold.  Fans were also able to enjoy ESPN on the HUGE outdoor television in front of the ESPN stages in Jackson square. Several FANS enjoyed watching STEPHEN A. SMITH from First Take, along with Skip Bayless and Danyelle Sargent on the big television screen during Super Bowl XLVII.

My Tribute to Doug Williams celebrating his 25^th Anniversary Super Bowl MVP Victory

“I met my friend, mentor, and Grambling State University Alumni at Eddie G. Robinson memorial service at Louisiana’s State capitol in Baton Rouge.  Baton Rouge is known for Southern University’s Jaguar Nation. On that they Southern University fans and Grambling State University fans came together to pay their respects.  It felt like a family reunion as I shared conversations with Doug and other memorial attendees.

DOUG WILLIAMS encouraged me and supported by consulting on my first television episode of the Saints Fan edition of The GREATEST Fan after Hurricane Katrina.  Then on February 12, 2010, I shared the stage with Doug Williams, Brian Kelly, Mike Tomlin, and GSU Hall of Famers as I hosted the Eddie G. Robinson museum opening in Grambling, La.  Doug Williams is a LEGEND to his FANS, a COACH to his team, and a MAN of strength to his family & friends.” Kingi Knox

DOUG WILLIAMS made history being the 1^st African American quarterback and Super Bowl MVP leading the Washington Redskins to a 42-10 victory over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXII.  Doug Williams also made history as he returned to coach football at Grambling State University in February 2011.  HE lead his team to State Farm Bayou Classic and SWAC championship victories, while opening doors for the G-Men football players as well as coaching his son, Doug Williams,Jr., teaching the G-Men the game of football as well as the game of life.

CONGRATULATIONS DOUG WILLIAMS!!!
